WRMA at the International Energy Credit Association (IECA) European Meeting, Budapest. 1-3 July 2018

Ralph Renner and Claude Brown joined over 100 credit officers and service providers at  the IECA’s* 32nd European Regional Education Groups Annual Conference in Budapest 1-3 July 2018. Ralph spoke to the Meeting on behalf of WRMA on the topic of  “Credit and Weather Risk Management”. The presentation was well received by the delegates with many follow up questions. The session was part of WRMA’s outreach program to promote a greater understanding of the role of weather risk management in the European economy.

*The IECA or International Energy Credit Association is a non profit association geared towards aiding professionals who are directly or indirectly related to the credit risk function in their respective company. It has approximately 1200  members representing over 500 companies  in  15 countries across the globe and hosts educational and networking events in the US, Canada, Europe & Asia.  Its mission is to provide a platform to aid professionals in the world of energy finance with everything from networking, to furthering education, to a forum for the exchange of ideas relevant to credit and financial management of the energy industry.  IECA helps its members navigate this complex business by promoting the education and understanding of credit and risk management in relation to energy commerce. The IECA was formed in 1923 as the Petroleum Refiners Bureau of the National Association of Credit Men (NACM), in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is the oldest industry credit association in the United States.
